Way of the Scout Camp

Class Description

This is a class on learning how an Indian Scout was able to be invisible in the woods. They had mastered all the survival skills and then took them to the next level while traveling through the woods. Their job for the tribe was to protect them from enemies which included scouting in a totally aware state, ahead, behind, and all around both day and night. During your stay at the camp, you will learn to appreciate "the scout" by trying to be this kind of "scout" by participating in various game type activities. Various activities will go on during the night allowing you to learn the ways of darkness. This will build confidence in anyone who may be leery of the woods at night.

• "Zero" Trace Camping
• Smokeless fire
• Night stalk and games

Each camper needs to come with clothes that they can get dirty in. Camo, plaids, and buckskins might be beneficial for all the fun games and activities. We do have a swimming pond and outdoor showers to clean up in, so bring your towels and biodegradable soap. Camping gear to include a sleeping bag (tent optional maybe just for storage), most likely you'll be sleeping out. Leave your chairs at home and that flashlight might give you away, so keep it extra small. Bring lunches and water bottles that you are able to carry with you in a small pack.

Camp starts Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m., come ready to "PLAY" until Sunday at 2:30. We provide Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast. Vegetarian Fare Available.

We have a swimming pond, so bring provisions to enjoy.

NOTE : All classes have a minimum number of registrants to make or sorry to say it will be cancelled. So bring your friends and tell everyone you know. Some classes are listed but are not currently on the schedule for the upcoming year. If your group has an interest we can schedule a date for you.
